The DIAGNOdent Pen

The DIAGNOdent Pen, from KaVo Dental, is a handheld device that uses a laser fluorescence detector to identify dental caries, or cavities, in the mouth. It is particularly effective in detecting fissure caries.

Same Day Crowns

Using E4D Technology’s restorative systems and CAD/CAM technology, the Pittsford Family Dental team fabricates same day crowns. This system allows us to digitally scan your prepared tooth instead of using traditional dental impressions. We can then use that digital scan to design your crown and mill it in-house for same day completion. This eliminates the need for temporary crowns and multiple visits. Digital X-rays

DEXIS Platinum Sensor with advanced hardware and software technologies delivers highly detailed, extremely clear, clinically meaningful images. Beveled corners and a smooth, rounded casing maximizes patient comfort and makes precise placement easy. A protective shield affixed to the interior wall of the rear housing protects the patient by preventing X-ray backscattering.

Digital Images are available for immediate viewing on the computer screen for quicker diagnosis.
