Our Dentists

Mark Conners, D.D.S.

Dr. Mark Conners is a native of Rochester, born and raised in his home town Pittsford, NY where he graduated from Pittsford Sutherland High School. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Middlebury College in Vermont with a major in chemistry and a minor in education. He attended the University Of Buffalo Dental School and completed his residency at Strong Memorial Hospital. Dr. Mark is a Board Certified Dentist, a member of the American Dental Association, and a fellow with the International Congress of Implantologists.

Dr. Conners opened private practice in 1990 in the village of Pittsford. Due to limited parking, accessibility, and practice growth, a new “state of the art dental facility” was built in 1999 on its present location.   This allowed us to accommodate the caliber of care necessary to meet our patient’s needs. At that time the practice was named… Pittsford Family Dental.   

Dr. Mark and his wife Karen continue to live in Pittsford with their three children, Jesse, Jared, and Paige. In his spare time he enjoys all sports, especially golf, basketball and running marathons. Dr. Mark spends a lot of time with his children who are active in many local youth activities.

Ann Calamel, D.D.S.

Dr. Ann Calamel was born in Syracuse, NY and moved to the Pittsford area as a child. She graduated from Pittsford Sutherland High School and continued on to earn her undergraduate degree at Miami University in Ohio. She received her doctorate from the University of Buffalo Dental School and completed her residency training at Millard Fillmore Hospital in Buffalo. She is a Board Certified Dentist and an active member of the American Dental Association. Dr. Ann started in private practice when she joined Pittsford Family Dental in 1998, just before the big move.

Dr. Ann and her husband Adrian live in Pittsford with their four children, Alexander, Courtney, Emily and Elizabeth.  She enjoys cooking and gardening.  As a member of the Gallea Greenhouse family, she was obviously born with a green thumb.

Kristine Cocola, D.M.D.

Dr. Kristine Cocola was born and raised in Geneva, New York. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from The University of Rochester and pursued her dental career at Tufts University of Dental Medicine in Boston. In 1990 she completed her residency training at Strong Memorial Hospital and joined the Strong Dental faculty as General Practice Residency Coordinator. She was a member of the Dental Faculty Practice Group and provided dental services to the medically compromised in the Rochester area. Dr. Kris is Board Certified, and a member of the American Dental Association. She joined Pittsford Family Dental in 2000.

Dr. Kris enjoys reading, playing the piano and lives in Honeoye Falls with her husband Erich and their two daughters, Veronica and Valerie. 

Vincent Vella, D.D.S.

Dr. Vincent Vella graduated from Bishop Kearney High School. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from St. John Fisher College and attended the University of Buffalo Dental School to earn his dental degree.  He completed his residency at Strong Memorial Hospital in 1985. Dr. Vella is Board Certified and a member of the American Dental Association. He is also a Board Certified Diplomat of The American Board of Oral Implantology and is licensed to administer intravenous sedation to apprehensive patients in our practice.

Dr. Vella has practiced dentistry in the Rochester area for over 20 years and lives in Penfield with his wife Kristin and his two children. He is active in youth sports and enjoys coaching, hiking, and reading. Dr. Vella also enjoys enhancing his dental expertise by attending continuing dental education courses and traveling throughout the country.
